Beginning my NC Job/Housing search!
Hi Asheville friends!
Well, the time has finally come! I am nearing the end of my School Of Ministry journey, and am ready to start seriously pursuing this Asheville, NC relocation goal. I certainly will not be able to do this without some help, so I'm asking for you to keep a look out for job/housing ideas if you can, and keep me in your prayers as I go on this journey! I would SO appreciate it!
I am wanting to move this year between the end of May and mid-August.
WORK:
I am an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher here in Georgia, and would like to stay in the field of day care. I prefer to work with infants up to 24 months old, but would consider a position with older children if need be. I would even consider Nannying if I could find the right situation. I NEED HEALTH INSURANCE benefits, so I need to find a child care center that pays well and offers benefits, OR a Nanny job that would pay enough where I could buy health insurance, or go through an agency that provides it.
PLEASE let me know if you or ANYONE you know works in a daycare or has kids in a daycare or just knows of daycare centers near Asheville, I need names of day cares located in Asheville so I can send out my resume as soon as possible!
HOUSING...
First choice: I am looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom basement/downstairs "apartment" area of a home to rent. I have my own furniture and TWO ADULT CATS that I am definitely planning on keeping and bringing with me, so I need an unfurnished area that is separate from the other parts of the house so I can keep my cats contained to my area. UNLESS a family wants to share my cats. haha. I would be happy to share the kitchen/laundry facility with other residents in the house if a separate kitchen/ laundry hookup is not available.
I also would like to know of some names of "regular" apartment complexes in and around the Asheville area so I can consider that option. If anyone can pick me up one of those Apartment Finder books for Asheville/surrounding areas I WOULD SO APPRECIATE it. I'll be at the C3 Atlanta Women's Conference next weekend, so if any of you are coming down and could bring apartment guides, that would be AWESOME!
THANK YOU all so much, I can't wait to be a part of C3 Asheville! My heart is for this church and for the artists of Asheville. I know I'll have a blast serving the church and community, and befriending people there! I am so excited!!! It's going to happen!
